Bold black and ivory stripes run the full width of this Moroccan kilim, building a rhythm that is graphic without being rigid. The flatweave construction keeps it lean and grounded, and the long hand-knotted ivory fringe finishes both ends with a clean, traditional touch.
The design is organised into three horizontal sections, each filled with closely spaced ivory lines across a deep black field. Narrow grey accent bands separate the sections, adding a quiet third tone that softens the contrast without breaking it. Small dot details are scattered along the dividing bands, a quiet mark left by the weaver, like a signature worked into the piece row by row. The folded detail image reveals tight, dense flatweave construction with clear, even selvedge edges throughout. The horizontal stripes are drawn from the layered horizons of the Moroccan landscape, mountains meeting sky, a composition that Amazigh weavers have returned to for generations.

- Flatweave construction with long hand-knotted ivory fringe on both ends.

- Ships worldwide in 4 to 7 business days.
- DDP shipping included (no extra customs fees, duty-free delivery).
Every row of this kilim was woven by hand, one thread at a time, on a traditional loom in our workshop in Morocco. No machines, no synthetics, nothing between the maker and the material. Natural wool wears well with age, growing more supple the more it is used.
Works well in a dining room or entryway where a flatweave sits better underfoot, and the black and ivory stripe holds its own alongside warm wood and natural stone.
Slight color variations are natural in handwoven wool. Questions are always welcome.
