A single cobalt blue shape sits above a field of warm ivory, the two forms contained within a deep charcoal black ground that gives the whole composition real edge. This Beni Ourain rug is bold in its simplicity and entirely made by hand.
The design is built from two stacked shapes: a vivid cobalt block in the upper portion with jagged, irregular edges, and a large ivory rectangle that fills the center. The contrast between the cobalt and charcoal is sharp and immediate, while the ivory brings warmth between them. The irregular hand-shaped edges of each form reflect the architecture of Berber villages, communities gathered within walls, boundaries drawn by hand rather than by rule. The pile is deep and full throughout, and long ivory fringe runs along both ends.

Why you'll love it:

- 100% natural wool.
- Authentic Beni Ourain, hand-knotted on a traditional loom in Morocco using natural wool with no synthetics.
- Cobalt blue and ivory abstract shapes set on a deep charcoal black field with long hand-knotted ivory fringe.
- Dense, plush high pile that is soft underfoot and gets softer with time.
- Custom sizes available, woven to order in 3 to 5 weeks.
- Ships worldwide in 4 to 7 business days.
- DDP shipping included (no extra customs fees, duty-free delivery).

Every knot in this rug was tied by hand, every row built one thread at a time on a traditional loom in our workshop in Morocco. No machines, no synthetics, nothing between the maker and the material. Natural wool wears beautifully over time, growing softer the more it is lived with.
The cobalt and charcoal hold their own against warm plaster, raw concrete, or natural wood. One strong piece that does not need much around it.
Slight color variations are natural in handwoven wool. Questions are always welcome.
