The lower field opens into a wide white section crossed by dense horizontal black stripes that run edge to edge, the lines becoming the pattern entirely. White hand-knotted fringe finishes both ends.The color block form draws from the Amazigh tradition of dividing the rug field into distinct zones of meaning, each section carrying its own weight and character. The olive green draws from the terraced olive groves and cedar forests of the Atlas Mountains, a deep earthy tone central to the Berber landscape for generations. The black square band at the top reflects the Amazigh practice of marking the beginning of the rug field with a structural border, a clear threshold between the fringe and the composition.
