This is a pink and ivory Beni Ourain rug, hand-knotted in our workshop in Morocco. Soft pink and natural ivory alternate in a dense field of vertical stripes that run from top to bottom across the entire surface. In the lower and central portions of the rug the stripes break open into larger free-form shapes, arched forms and angular negative space that emerge from the stripe rhythm like a pattern within a pattern. The composition shifts as you move across it, structured at the edges and more open and painterly toward the center.
The vertical stripe draws from the rivers and seasonal streams that run down from the Atlas Mountains through the valley floors below, lines of movement and life that have run alongside Berber villages for generations. The free-form geometric shapes that emerge within the stripe field reflect the Amazigh tradition of embedding personal and communal marks into the fabric of everyday woven objects, forms drawn from the architectural details of Berber villages, arched doorways, carved plasterwork, and the geometry of traditional medina design. The overall composition rewards close attention, revealing more structure the longer the eye moves across it. White hand-knotted fringe finishes both ends.
Why you'll love it:
- Authentic Beni Ourain rug, hand-knotted by Berber artisans in Morocco
- High pile, 100% natural wool, no synthetics, no machine finishing
- Soft pink and ivory vertical stripe field with abstract free-form geometric forms emerging through the center
- Custom sizes available, woven to order in 3 to 5 weeks.
- Ships worldwide in 4 to 7 business days.
- DDP shipping included (no extra customs fees, duty-free delivery).
Made entirely by hand on a traditional loom. No machines, no shortcuts. Every knot tied by a skilled artisan, every row built one thread at a time. Natural wool softens with use, becoming more itself the longer it is lived with.
Pairs beautifully with white walls, natural linen, warm wood, and any interior that welcomes softness and a considered feminine palette.
Slight color variation is natural in hand-dyed wool. Questions are always welcome.

This rug brightens my day. I'm writing this in the dark'n grey german winter. This rug makes me smile before coffee has a chance to. It's massive, heavy, cosy and cute. Thank you - keep up the good work.

I am so thrilled with my experience! The seller communicated with me directly about the timeline I should expect, and updated me when I had questions. The rug feels luxurious and you can tell it was a labor of love. I only have good things to say.
