This is a cobalt blue and white Beni Ourain rug, hand-knotted in our workshop in Morocco. A deep, saturated blue fills the entire field, scattered across its surface with small white dot accents that shift and drift across the pile like light on open water. A woven blue and white textured band runs across the top of the rug, adding a structural detail that frames the piece from above. Ivory hand-knotted fringe finishes both ends.
The dot is one of the oldest marks in Amazigh weaving, found across Berber textiles throughout the Atlas region for generations. Dots scattered freely across the field are a quiet mark left by the weaver, like seeds planted across open earth or stars scattered across a night sky above the mountains. The density and drift of the dots across the blue ground gives the surface a living, organic quality, no two sections identical, the pattern alive with the movement of the hand that made it. The woven border at the top draws from the tradition of marking the beginning and end of the rug field with a distinct structural band.
Why you'll love it:
- Authentic Beni Ourain rug, hand-knotted by Berber artisans in Morocco
- High pile, 100% natural wool, no synthetics, no machine finishing
- Deep cobalt blue field with scattered white dot pattern and woven top border
- Custom sizes available, woven to order in 3 to 5 weeks.
- Ships worldwide in 4 to 7 business days.
- DDP shipping included (no extra customs fees, duty-free delivery).
Made entirely by hand on a traditional loom. No machines, no shortcuts. Every knot tied by a skilled artisan, every row built one thread at a time. Natural wool softens with use, becoming more itself the longer it is lived with.
Pairs beautifully with white walls, natural linen, and light wood. Bold enough to anchor a large living room, calm enough to work in a bedroom.
Slight color variation is natural in hand-dyed wool. Questions are always welcome.

The rug is beyond expectations. Absolutely beautiful, very dense and heavy. Not just a rug but a real feature in the room. Thank you so much Amir. I will order again. Sonja Scott

We've been living with our handcrafted wool rug for a few months now, and it is the best thing in our living room. It is plush and luxurious underfoot. I had a picky question about the color before I placed the order, and Amir gave me a helpful and accurate answer. Really a fabulous and high-quality rug!
