The color block form draws from the Amazigh tradition of dividing the rug field into distinct zones of meaning, each section carrying its own weight and character. The dusty pink draws from the rose-tinted walls of Marrakech and the wildflowers that bloom across the Atlas Mountain slopes each spring, a color that has long been woven into the Berber visual palette. The black dot accents scattered across the white lower field are a quiet mark of the weaver, like seeds planted across open earth, a motif found in Berber textiles throughout the Atlas region. AfriKesh was awesome to work with! Great communication, sent photos to approve before shipping, and I was super impressed how quickly the rugs got here once they shipped. We just unpacked them and got them in their spaces and they look so fabulous. Feels like a brand new house. Highly recommend. Since they are handmade, the "making" process does take awhile (about a month for two 8x10 rugs) and being patient was hard! But it was well worth it. Great quality. Beautiful. We'll be back!

The rug is thick, soft and high quality. And the seller's customer service and communication were excellent throughout the process. This is a beautifully crafted, quality rug and I’m SO happy with the final result! I ordered a custom size and specific pink tone, which Amir helped me choose. His communication was outstanding. He kept me informed along the way, and sent photos of the finished rug for my approval. Visually, there were a couple of issues with the rug which he had his weavers rectify, then sent new pics to ensure I was happy before shipping. Excellent wrapping and it arrived sooner than I expected. The rug is just beautiful, the pink is perfect and the wool is supersoft.
