The diamond is one of the oldest forms in Amazigh weaving, drawn from the mountain peaks of the Atlas range that have defined the Berber visual landscape for centuries. Here the diamonds are rendered as open outlines, unfilled and light, a choice that keeps the white field expansive and the overall composition airy. The zigzag border reflects the rivers and streams that wind through the Atlas Mountains, lines of movement and life that have run alongside Berber villages for generations.
